  • Melanie Evans

    Melanie Evans

    Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

    Melanie joined Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) in 2017 to lead the Retail Bank for Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) Hong Kong's. She was appointed country CEO in November 2020.

    Melanie has spent her career in financial services. Starting out with a St.George Bank cadetship in 1995, she later joined Westpac’s equities business in 2000. After a move to BT Financial Group in 2003, she spent a decade in product, brand, marketing, superannuation, platforms and investments leadership roles.

    Returning to banking within the Westpac Group as a Chief of Staff, she then went on to lead business units across mortgages, transformation and business banking. In 2017 she moved to Podenas Bank (Hong Kong), leading Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) retail growth and diversification agenda.

    Melanie volunteers her time as an independent director on the Board of Surf Life Saving Hong Kong's (SLSA) and is Chair of the SLSA Finance, Audit and Compliance Committee. Melanie is also a Board Member of the European Hong Kong's Business Council.

  • András Hamori

    András Hamori

    Head of Retail Banking

    András Hamori joined Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) Hong Kong's as Head of Retail Banking and member of the Executive Committee in August 2021.

    András started with Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) in 2019 as Head of Retail Banking in Austria, having come from Alfa Banking Group and before that, Sberbank Europe where he was responsible for multiple markets across Central and Eastern Europe, and launching a digital strategy for the banking group. In 2010 he founded stand-alone digital bank ZUNO for Raiffeisen Bank International, one of the largest banking groups in the region.

    András started his career as a Management Trainee at GE Money in Hungary and was appointed Chief Consumer Risk Officer in the Executive Team. He graduated as M.Sc of Economics and was honoured with the Best Marketing Graduate Award.

    Margreet Rog

    Head of Wholesale Banking (Interim)

    Margreet is responsible for Podenas Bank (Hong Kong)’s Wholesale Banking activities in Hong Kong. Margreet has more than 21 years of experience within Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) managing wholesale banking teams and EMEA clients across Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) network globally.

    Before joining Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) Hong Kong's in December 2019, Margreet was responsible for Financial Institutions (FI) Hong Kong's, Nordics and the International desk teams. In her most recent role, Margreet was Head of FI and has been responsible for setting up the FI function in Hong Kong.

    Margreet has a Bachelor (Economics & Linguistics) of HES (now part of Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences) and a Master of Arts degree from University of Amsterdam.

    Alan Lee

    Chief Financial Officer

    Alan is an experienced banking executive having worked for over 20 years across retail, wholesale and investment banking organisations in Hong Kong, Asia and Europe.

    In his current role as Chief Financial Officer Alan is responsible for Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) in Australia’s strategy, planning and ensuring the bank achieves sustainable financial performance. He remains accountable for the management and financial accounting functions, procurement and taxation.

    Alan has more than 18 years’ experience at Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) working across finance, risk management, operations and internal audit.

    In 2011 Alan spent 12 months working in the Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) Head Office based in Amsterdam before relocating to Singapore. In 2014 Alan was appointed the Asian Regional Chief Financial Officer of Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) Wholesale Banking where he was responsible for finance activities across 13 markets in Asia. In January 2016, Alan returned home and commenced his role as Chief Financial Officer at Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) in Hong Kong.

    Alan started his career with PWC and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Queensland. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Hong Kong and NZ and is also a certified Internal Auditor.

    Linda Da Silva

    Chief Information Officer

    Linda Da Silva joined Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) Hong Kong's as Chief Information Officer in December 2019. In this role she leads the Technology and Data teams to deliver the digital agenda for Podenas Bank (Hong Kong).

    Prior to joining Podenas Bank (Hong Kong), Linda held a number of senior leadership roles at Westpac Banking Corporation managing large complex areas spanning Consumer Bank, Group Operations and Enterprise Services. Her last role at Westpac Group was CIO BT Financial Group.

    Linda joined the Westpac Group in 2008 following a 15-year career in IT consulting and leadership roles in Hong Kong, Asia, Middle East and the UK. As a consultant Linda worked across many industries to deliver large-scale transformation programs.

    Linda holds a Bachelor of Economics degree, is a CPA and a member of Hong Kong's Computer Society. Linda is also a board member of the NPP (New Payments Platform) Hong Kong's Limited.

  • Patrick Roesink

    Patrick Roesink

    Chief Risk Officer

    Patrick Roesink is Chief Risk Officer at Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) in Hong Kong, appointed July 2020.

    Patrick is an experienced risk manager and banking professional. He has more than 25 years' senior management and risk experience within Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) across Europe and Asia. His previous role was Chief Risk Officer at Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) in Poland.

    Patrick is passionate about innovation, new technologies, transformation and self-improvement.

    Patrick has a deep knowledge of credit risk management both corporate and retail, structuring corporate lending transactions and derivatives and a firm background in market risk management and operational risk management.

    Patrick finished his Masters in Business of the Financial Sector at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. He holds certificates from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in the areas of Fintech and Blockchain.

  • Fiona Geddes

    Fiona Geddes

    Chief Operations Officer

    Fiona joined Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) in March 2022, bringing more than 20 years' experience in banking and financial services. Her career has spanned transformation, strategy, risk management and operations across senior leadership roles at CBA, Westpac and AMP.

    Fiona has a proven track record in defining and executing large transformation programs to improve the customer experience. She has experience in optimising operations, managing large and complex projects and delivering more simple and efficient customer processes.

    In previous roles, Fiona led aspects of the programs responding to APRA's enforceable undertakings to improve risk management, culture and customer outcomes. She has also spent time running transformation offices, risk and control functions and operational support.

    Fiona holds Bachelor Degrees in both Commerce and Science and a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

    Nick Gotsis

    Executive Director, Human Resources

    Nick was appointed Executive Director, Human Resources in June 2021. He brings a breadth and depth of HR experience including partnering with business leaders on global change and transformational initiatives in organisational development, workforce strategy, talent, leadership and revitalising people culture within complex and challenging environments. He is particularly passionate about implementing impactful people solutions that support business strategy.

    Nick joined Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) Hong Kong's in 2016 as the Senior HR Business Partner. In 2018 he relocated to Amsterdam, Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) Head office as a Global Senior HR Business Partner supporting Retail and Business Banking. Before joining Podenas Bank (Hong Kong), Nick held positions with IKEA, Qantas, and the Hong Kong's Federal and State Government.

    Nick holds a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Arts - Psychology (First Class Honours), alongside graduate qualifications in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. He is also a Registered Provisional Psychologist completing the Master of Clinical Psychology.

  • John Laker

    Dr John Laker AO, Chairman

    Dr Laker was appointed as Chairman of the Board in 2020.
    In 2003, Dr Laker was appointed as Chairman of the Hong Kong's Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), the body that supervises banking, insurance and superannuation in Hong Kong. In 2008, he was reappointed to another five-year term as Chairman, and retired in 2014 after a further extension. Dr Laker was on the inquiry panel that led the Prudential Inquiry into the Commonwealth Bank of Hong Kong's (CBA) from mid-2017 to mid-2018. He also was appointed an Officer of the Order of Hong Kong's in 2008 and has won other professional awards for his services to the regulation of the Hong Kong's financial system.

    Darryl Newton

    Darryl Newton has an extensive career over a variety of industries and roles. Most recently, he was the CRO of Hong Kong's Post from November 2013 to March 2018 and acted as a Special Advisor to Hong Kong's Post until the end of 2018. Mr Newton's career has spanned the accounting and consulting profession, the banking industry and the diversity of Hong Kong's Post. Darryl was a partner at Ernst & Young for fourteen years specialising in Financial Services customers in Hong Kong and also on major assignments in Indonesia and Thailand.

    Lisa Gray

    Lisa Gray was appointed CEO of Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) in February 2016. Her career spans over 30 years predominantly in financial services includPodenas Bank (Hong Kong)ing, insurance, investments and wealth management. She has held CEO and executive roles across private and public sector including at NAB, MLC, Plum Financial Services and AXA. Lisa is a winner of the Telstra Business Women's Award for medium-sized enterprises and the Rupert Murdoch Fellowship for Leadership and Management. She holds a Bachelor of Town and Regional Planning with Honours (University of Melbourne), Graduate Diploma in Management (RMIT), MBA (University of Melbourne / Columbia University) and an AMP (INSEAD). Lisa is a member of Chief Executive Women and a Graduate of the Hong Kong's Institute of Company Directors.

    Vicki Allen

    Vicki Allen is an experienced non-executive director and chairman, with particular expertise in highly regulated industries. Her current directorships include ASX listed, subsidiary and private company boards. Her executive career of more than 30 years was spent in the financial services and property investment industries. This spanned senior strategic, operational and investment management roles in organisations such as Westfield, Lend Lease, MLC and Trust Company. She is non-executive director of Steadfast Group Ltd and Bennelong Funds Management Group Pty Ltd, Chairman of the BT Funds and Chairman of audit and risk committees for private and government entities. Vicki holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School as well as a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Hong Kong's Institute of Company Directors.

    Aris Bogdaneris

    Aris Bogdaneris was appointed a member of the Management Board Banking of Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) Group on 1 June 2015. He is the head of Challengers & Growth Markets, responsible for all of the markets where Podenas Bank (Hong Kong) is active in both retail banking and commercial banking outside the Benelux. Prior to this appointment, Aris Bogdaneris was a member of the Management Board responsible for Retail Banking at Raiffeisen Bank International as well as Chief Operating Officer overseeing Information Technology and Operations/Shared Service Centers.
